About

A little about me
and how I work.

I became a therapist because I have always been curious about what is underneath the surface — what makes us who we are, and what it actually feels like to be truly connected to yourself.

I've always wanted to understand what's underneath the surface.

From a young age, I was the kind of person who wanted to understand why people are the way they are, what makes us who we are, and what it actually feels like to be truly connected to yourself and to other people.

I have a master's degree in counseling and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland. I specialize in trauma, particularly childhood and attachment wounds, religious trauma, and PTSD.

I am trained in EMDR and I bring expressive and somatic approaches into sessions because I believe healing does not always happen through talking alone.

My work is rooted in the idea that most of our struggles today have roots in something older. When we can understand those roots — with curiosity instead of judgment — something shifts.

My Approach

Sessions that are slow, intentional, and paced to what your nervous system can handle.

Sessions with me tend to be slow and intentional. I pay close attention to what feels overwhelming and adjust the pace to what best supports your nervous system. Some people want to talk. Others want to draw, use sand tray, or explore their experiences in a different way. I make room for all of it, meeting you where you are.

What matters most to me is that you feel like you can be yourself. You do not have to perform okayness here. You do not have to have it all together or know exactly what you want to say. We figure it out together.

The moment I work toward

There is a moment, and it is different for every person, where someone starts talking about themselves with a little more kindness and compassion. Where a part of them that has been in hiding for a long time starts to feel safe enough to come forward. That is the moment I work toward with every client. I never stop being moved by it.

Outside the office

When I am not working, you can probably find me outside, listening to a podcast, or making art with a lot of enthusiasm and questionable skill.
